I've worked for 28 years here at Stoughton Trailers, and yes we have had our ups and downs, but that's part of the business. Stoughton Trailers is a family owned business and I always felt welcome from day one. I am very grateful and thankful for the opportunity to prove myself as a worthy employee. Things have changed for me over the years, from being a assembly worker, to a welder, a team leader, to a weld tech, to teaching women of welding our first series. So to let you know there is always a chance for advancement throughout the company. I feel as though I am a part of the Stoughton Trailers family, where you are celebrated and not just tolerated. Lori steen is awful to work with and for.
Upon my interview the first thing she said to me was, “I just don’t think you can do this you can do this job.” Before I was even able to truly introduce myself. This just gives you a glimpse into what she was like and what my time was like there.
I found at time I was the only professional one.
Her and her staff did not cultivate a very positive work environment, and in fact we’re not welcoming at all.
Would not recommend anyone working with these people.

I been working here for 4 years. I started with not much experience. Good company to start. Would be much better if they care little more of the employees.

Been here for almost 7 years, has ups and down but for me to stay at a job this long. Can't be to bad. Hard work is something to expect. Here you can have fun with the people you work with. We became family.

Called tech support for info and parts help for older trailer.Ann was very knowledgeable and helped me quickly.

Absolutely terrible company to work for my father had a stroke and I had to go help I got approved for unpaid leave and I sliced my finger down to the bone and they fire me

Would not recommend buying trailers from this company unless you don't about appearance because they sure don't. Completely discussed with there workmanship.

DONT BUY NEW TRAILERS!! We purchased new trailer from Steve in Stoughton, WI to avoid running into issues on road with our current used trailer. Within the first 30 days, we went to shop five times. Left door wasn't alignment properly out factory, then right door was misaligned, the hinges wouldn't close, ABS light went of a few days after that followed by a air-leak from rear. We lost a lot of time and its been a hassle trying get this fixed and its a brand new trailer we paid $28k. I would never again buy a Stoughton Trailer, Steve the regional manager never followed up to call me when he said he would and at end just told us nothing he can do beside basic warranty. We wanted to return or exchange the trailer since we had so many issues within the first 30 days but they refused, they wouldn't compensate us for anything. We deadhead my driver 180miles on the first issue straight to the manufacture warehouse so they can fix it right, it cost us in gas and time losing opportunity to book loads. The next day, we picked up a load only to realize the other door is bad now. Don't buy Stoughton get a Utility Trailer for the same money, also the Stoughton trailer are very weak on the side, they are enforced every 2ft instead 12" on the side. Save yourself the headache, DON"T BUY STOUGHTON!!

Everything about this job is a joke from the HR department to the shop floor. Look for other employment at all costs. The benefit packages are also laughable.

Terrible place to work. HR department is horrible. Supervisors don't get paid for maditory over time. Harrasment reports never go through. They are hiring any one because no one wants to work there. 97% turn over rate. If you do not have a life this is the job for you. Women are objectified here. There quality is unbelievably terrible. They buy new equipment but have no employees to run it. I didn't get paid what I was told I was. You could miss a week of work and they would still keep you employed because the place just has no workers. They allow fake piss in drug test. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A JOB HERE TRUST ME GO ELS WHERE!!!!!!! 97% TURN OVER RATE FOR A RESON.

The place is shity for what they pay with no holiday pay in your first 90 days and no vacation time and on top of that you only can earn 4 pto days a year by not missing a day or not being late so only apply if you have no life because it requires you to have no life
