I have been a customer of Cleveland Gear for 8 years, and my company has been working with them for about 12 years now. We have not had 1 gearbox fail yet. We are in the mining industry and some of the gearboxes see double and triple shifts, if you spec them out within the parameters set by Cleveland gear these things are bullet proof. They also have decent stock levels and VERY good pricing compared to the competition.
If you're buddy's with management outside of work, the sky is the limit, if not just quit in advance. They expect 60+ hours a week with no help from inspection ( minus the one good one they have ) or tools that actually measure correctly, but expected to hold tight tolerances.
Office workers get all the time off they want, nothing held against them. Machinists will be denied raises because of using FMLA or sick leave. The fact the are ALWAYS hiring should tell you everything you need to know. Good luck.

They will not even quote me on a new gearbox. Only explanation is "sorry No quote"
Very rude without any further explanation. Very dissapointed. Looking to them for help on older equipment bearing their name. Met with Arrogance.
