Terrible customer service. Also very poor quality products. Bought two $700 ceiling fan from them, one stopped working after 14 months. Contacted Global Industrial, they said warranty expires at 12 months and they will not offer any refunds, warranty, or even a discount on a replacement fan. Terrible.

This company deserves zero stars and shouldn't be in business!

We purchased this fan from Global Industrial on 5/12/2021 and we installed it on 5/14/2021. It worked perfectly until 6/15/2022. When powered on, the fan violently jerked at a slow speed and would not speed up.

We disconnected power to the fan and checked everything. The wiring in the ceiling was secure and in perfect condition. The mechanical connections were tight. The wiring inside the fan housing was also secure and in perfect condition. Nothing was visibly wrong with the fan.

6/16/2022 - We reached out to Global Industrial's (GI) customer support for technical support via their website "contact us".
6/17/2022 - GI responded to my email. They stated that our 1 year warranty expired and we needed to contact their sales team to buy a replacement.

After that email, we traded 11 follow up emails between 6/17 and 6/22. I tried to explain to GI that I knew our warranty expired and I reached out in the hopes of getting technical support over the phone. GI said they would contact their tech team and follow up with me. I sent them a 13 second clip of the fan to demonstrate the malfunction. They claimed they could not open the video. After waiting 4 days and not getting a response, I emailed them again. Again they responded that I should buy a new fan and they would ship it for free. I repeated that I was simply asking for technical support on the phone. They said they would reach out to their tech team again. At that point I reminded them that they already said that 5 days ago and I asked for a manager to get involved.

During this period, I also called GI on 6/17 and 6/20. I explained my issue and explained that I was going to try to fix the fan myself but I requested to speak with a technician about my issues. GI refused to put me on the phone with technical support. They said since the fan was out of warranty, my only choices were to buy a new fan or order a replacement part and they would ship either for free. I explained that I couldn't determine what part needed replacing if I couldn't speak to a technician. GI said I should try YouTube (which I already did before contacting them).

On 6/21, I reached out via email to Rhine Electric Company. They manufacture the motor that Global Industrial used in the fan. I sent Rhine the 13 second clip and they responded on 6/22 that it looked like a motor sensor issue (two pronged cable coming from inside the motor housing).

On 6/24, Felicia Brown (a lead customer service representative from GI) finally responded to my request to get a manager involved. She stated that she requested information from the product management team on how to proceed. She also claimed that this issue was being "worked as an escalation, therefore, there is a sense of urgency added to the correspondence". Within an hour, I thanked her for responding and gave her the information I learned from Rhine.

It is now 6/28 and I have yet to hear any response. This fan has a DC motor in it which is known for its reliability and life span. We paid almost $500 for a fan that only lasted 13 months. Global Industrial refused to give any technical support, treated their customer with utter disrespect, refused to stand behind their product, and had the audacity to suggest a fix: buy a new fan from them. As a customer, we feel betrayed. We were sold a faulty product with an obvious manufacturing defect. We were willing to fix it ourselves and simply asked that Global Industrial speak to us on the phone about the process; yet they refused. Customers shouldn't have to stand for this behavior and mistreatment. Global Industrial should be held responsible and make this problem right.

I'm at a complete loss for words - We ordered the MBF 3820 from Global Industries and this is what and how it was delivered. To say this is the worst damage I have ever seen is an understatement. It was cracked, dented, on its side, completely wrecked.

I wish I could give negative stars. This company has the worst customer service I've ever seen in my life. I will never order from them again after spending all morning being put on hold, ignored, transferred from person to person. Hung up on over and over again for something as simple as replacement keys. They are more interested in creating excuses instead of taking accountability and resolving the issue at hand. They didn't let me report the issue with upper management. Writing this review in the hopes that higher ups see this and correct the mess that is the customer service department.

Update: 3 weeks later and I finally have the keys. But wait, there's more. I paid $100 on 6 replacement keys that don't work. Back on with customer service and the headache continues. I just want the keys and to be done with this company. But they won't let me leave. Next step is just to buy a new cabinet completely as I don't think they have the ability to do this. Customer service said they will get back to me within 2-3 days. I doubt this will happen as per recent history. So, I'm sure I'll have to call back in a few days for the same line.

Order shipped to wrong address via UPS (entirely different State. UPS said only Global Industrial can change address. Global Industrial was so advised by me. After a week UPS redelivered it to the wrong address a second time. Now my order record with Global states non-refundable. Zero help from them.

Global industrial sold us a lemon for a floor scrubber. It was broken when it was delivered and they said it would be repaired, and several months went by. Then they said they would exchange it, and months went by. We have not been able to return it, exchange it or fix it. Personally I feel like they stole $4,000 from me and delivered a heap of junk

Very unhappy with Global industrial. Purchased a floor scrubbing machine in August of 2021. The machine was broken when it was delivered, and has never worked since. We first tried to coordinate a repair through global industrial, which they never scheduled. Since then we have been trying to return the machine, have it replaced, or get a new one. It is now late January 2022 and we are still out almost $4,000 and stuck with a broken machine.

They promise one or two day delivery on alot of items, and then it ends up taking one to two months to actually arrive. If you need the item before, it is worth it to look elsewhere. They are completely unreliable on there shipping, and simply horrible to do business with.

Bait and switch, then call and have to spend more to get what you order to start with. I'll never use these guys again.

I ordered shelving with storage bins but READ THE FINE PRINT shelving does not come as its pictured or described. I did not get the size bins I ordered. I was told I had to order and pay more for the bins that the picture and description said came with the unit. The tiny bins i got were what's included.

Find a more reputable retailer than these guys.

I found their order form very confusing. It should be easy to distinguish between a shipping address and a billing address-- but I could not figure it out. It appears that the chairs I ordered will appear at a construction site, instead of the desired shipping address. When I chatted with someone to help me correct this- the only thing he could offer was to cancel the order. I said - sure- cancel the order- but I have no email confirmation that it cancelled...The only thing I have received is a notice that the chairs will show up at the construction site. It is unfortunate that this experience has been so trying. We wanted to check one chair before we ordered 50. I don't know what we will do now. [Edited after the chair arrived: In the end it did appear at the desired location. But only because I noticed that the cancellation notice appeared AFTER the chairs were on the UPS truck & out for delivery. At that point, after a phone call to UPS and to Global, the delivery was delayed a day and the chair got to the right place. ]

Purchased an exhaust fan I am unable to place a review on the site for this product so I am doing it here the18” non-corrosive exhaust fan is complete junk I used it 5 times and sounds like a bearing wore out and now useless. Unfortunately they tell me there is a one year warrant i it burned out 3 months post warranty but only used 5 times in a 3 month period.

The Global Industrial customer website is terrible. There is no way to correct errors in ones address nor is there any means to effect an address change if one moves. This is the most basic level of any web based business and Global Industrial Fails. Working with their on-line chat or calling their customer service number is useless, they have no power to help you. I can't believe is this day and age a web based business will not allow a customer to access or edit his physical address, even if's wrong! Just terrible!

Purchased a nice size order; took almost a month for items to come (unacceptable) and I paid almost $1,000 shipping for items not to be delivered to our shop. I now have to go find guys to help me carry goods back to our location. Customer service guy was unhelpful and rude. How is this OK? I wouldn't trust this company every again.

Worst customer service EVER. Fraudulent scam practices and they hang up on you when call about your order. GI--if you think customers do not notice you charge parts of orders a year after they have been purchased and months after they were received--think again! Reeks of unlawful business practice. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I canceled an order within 20 minutes of placing when I realized I ordered the wrong item. It was 4:00 AM in the morning eastern, on a Saturday, therefore nobody was in the warehouse to process this order. They refused to cancel and told me they would ship it anyway. Then the order got delayed because it was out of stock. I again let them know that I didn't need it, and obviously they hadn't prepared the shipment yet, so I told them to cancel it, and again they refused. So sure enough, when it came in stock, they shipped it to me.

After threatening to go the BBB they finally agreed to a full refund. However, now I see that they only gave a partial refund. I will be going to the BBB after all and disputing the payment. Do not do business with this company.

Worst customer service ever! I am now on my 16th call, with no response. I ordered 7 file cabinets, which they refused to deliver to my office. They said they were leaving them on the sidewalk, even tho I asked for white glove service to the space. I cancelled the order and the trucker took them back. Now they claim they were delivered and refuse to process the refund. Never again! Do not do business with this company--unresponsive, lying, overcharging reps who are no help at all.

It's a good idea for you to expect orders to take longer than anticipated on orders from Global Industrial. We paid extra for UPS 2nd Day shipping and it took a week to get a tracking number. E-mails that provide you an arrival date should say SHIP date instead of arrival date (arrival is arrival at Global, not to you, which is misleading). The 2nd day shipping only starts AFTER the warehouse scans and processes the order and they may take a week to get around to it ... and it appears from chat with Service that the warehouse is not their warehouse, but another warehouse that ships it to Global Industrial and then the 2-day starts after Global receives it (the warehouse does not ship directly to customer). Don't pay extra for expedited delivery. Estimated delivery for the same product on the website with free shipping is one week .... Paying for faster shipping is taking closer to two weeks (still don't have the product in hand). Ordering here is fine if you have no time constraints, but if you have any urgency you will be frustrated.

OMG they had us going around since November to try to get an Item, they said it was available for pick up, we drove over an hour to get the item and they said sorry was a mistake its not in stock, then they called and said it was another mistake that they do have it available and they will ship it to us, the first eta was Dec 27th, then it was changed to June, after a week they changed to May, we kept calling and finally we were told January 20th, today January 21st called again and I was told April, this seems to be a joke, I don't know how they do business and how they are planing to stay up like this. Terrible service. I would give them 0 rating if I had the option.

I ordered a floor scrubbing machine for a warehouse. It was supposed to arrive a week ago. Not only did it not arrive, but there's no way to track it and nobody at the company who can actually answer any questions. I had one brief interaction with a live chat rep who told me that he'd look into it and get back to me within 48 hours. Nope. No response at all.

Finally, I contacted AMEX and refuted the charge. I still don't know if Global Industrial is planning to ship this thing, but if a delivery shows up, I'm sending it back. I don't trust a company who takes your money, then goes radio silent. VERY shady.

I wish there was a ZERO star!
I ordered some items on APRIL and I haven't received anything. Instead, they sent me the wrong size item. I tried to contact the company countless times and every time they had a different excuse. After all, I was told that the shipping company delivered my items and I signed for it, which isn't true! I sent emails with the papers I have from the shipping company to prove that it was actually the wrong shipment, but they never responded to any of my emails. I haven't gotten my items or a refund. What a shame! The WORST company ever!

Wow! Than you so much!! We received the motor we needed yesterday after hearing it might not be available until October. Disappointed, we felt we had no choice after trying to find it elsewhere. Had to give one star since zero wasn't an option.
Placed an order and because they didn't pay their supplier my order has been delayed for over two weeks and still have not received the items. On 6/29/20 I was told they payed the bill and I would receive a shipping confirmation within 24 hours and still waiting on a confirmation. Just tried getting answers again this morning and they hung up on me after placing me on hold for 15 minutes.
I would highly recommend finding another supplier for your needs!!!!

Ordered masks that where on back order, the date to receive kept changing because of demand, items could no be cancelled. (Still waiting for this set!)

SORRY. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE THUS FAR. I ordered 3 clothes racks which I need for my business. They were paid for and the money has come out of my credit card. However I have not received the order. There is a tracking number but it doesn't give me any information. The order was supposedly shipped on May 14 by UPS. Global is supposedly checking for me at this time, but I'm still waiting for information and am highly disappointed.

Good: Product arrived extremely quickly, and appears as advertised.

Bad: Product arrived damaged (attached photos show steep dents in the top), and seller offered a discount that would not apply to the order. I emailed the seller several days ago (immediately after placing the order) to ask about this mysterious, apparently fake discount offer; several business days later, seller has not responded. One of the drawers is very loud to open and close, suggesting broken ball bearings inside.

I'm truly disappointed.

I needed a wire shelf of exact dimensions and the people at Global Industrial were quick, courteous, and qualified to meet my very specific need. The first order (starter shelf unit with extra shelf) arrived like a short order sandwich--fast and just what I wanted. The price was reasonable, actually less than three other suppliers I had called earlier that same day. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars, and the sales and shipping teams both deserve all five, is that the weak link in the chain is the I.T. department. Not a big surprise; this happens frequently across the board and has been a recurring problem for years with no real solution in sight. Briefly, I called one order in, chatted the other (an additional extra shelf), both of which resulted in quickly emailed quotes. Herein lies the problems: (1) The emailed quote's right half is truncated and you can't view Tax, Shipping, and Total amounts. I would like to see these since it is a quote; and (2) The link inside the quote prompting you to go directly to Global's checkout simply does not work. It does, however, show you what you ordered last time you bought something, which is useless information at this point. So after plugging around the site trying to find a workaround and failing, I ended up having to call the company, wade through the phone menu, and end up with a different salesperson that the one I had been working with. Thankfully, the sales staff seemed to be quite competently trained and were patient while we sorted out the order. Summarizing, inventory is good, prices are good, salespeople are excellent, and I.T. needs a tune up. Don't let any less-than-positive statements I've made keep you from shopping here. No doubt, I'll return at a later date for something else.

Very disapointed that a normal UPS Ground next day delivery, will take almost a week. It should have been shipped same day! A day and a half to print a label? whats that. Amazon would have had it here today and for 15 bucks less! I wanted to go with the specialty vendor for my respirator, so I paid more, now I wont have it for the job I need it for. I may just order another mask from Amazon tonight so I can have it tomorrow, and when the Pony Express arrives I'll give it to one of my employees.

The first single LPG propane heater head arrived with a defective safety switch. Upon Global Industrial's reading of my unfavorable review, their customer service immediately responded. I was offered a full refund or a replacement. Since I love the hook up to the propane Tank (especially not having a use a rubber lpg gas line,) I elected the replacement. It arrived in 3 days via UPS, with no cost to me at all. I'm very impressed.

Decent product, but one of the portable tables that we have been shipped has a faulty electrical power strip. We called customer service to have a second sent to our office. Maybe 3 weeks later it was finally sent. The second one does not work either. I contacted support and have yet to hear back from customer support.

I was looking at dust masks. I was about to buy the ones I wanted and it popped up that there was a similar one. The price was a dollar less so I bought 40 boxes BUT it was not a similar item, it was per each and not per box like what I wanted. I was charged for one what I could buy a whole box of 20 for. I tried to return it and they stamped non-returnable on the item. So not only did they confuse me into buying a different product, they wouldn't take it back. I have now spent over $400 on some non returnable dust masks that are nowhere near what i wanted. I also notice a shipping tag under the shipping label to us, Global bought these masks years ago and they were stuck with them so they over charged me and stuck me with them.
Double check all dealings with them, they are sleazy.

Ordered a racking system for the top of a work bench. Items arrived, minus hardware and assembly instructions. I called immediately and discussed with a Customer Service rep. Hardware arrived while I was on vacation, but no assembly instructions. Called again and was promised that I would have them emailed to me that day. I also wanted to order another component for the racking system, was sent to a Sales rep after that. They were sadly lost, even with my order in front of them, bungling, completely clueless. I was patient for 5 minutes until I realized that I would probably get the wrong thing, transferred to a manager, who got the item right, also promised I would get instructions that afternoon. Now, a day later, still no instructions. There are lots of companies selling the same things, I'll probably find one with better organization.

I have had problems with all of the customer representatives. they just take you as a game and make you bounce from department to department. nobody wants to work there!

I am trying to get a QUOTE just a QUOTE for a return and their return policy says I am able to get that and the reps over the phone just, laugh at me, denied it and pass from thru different departments.
Or, the other great solution for customers is that they just hung up.

Ordered Nexelon wire shelves and posts. The shelves were delivered and not the posts. Tracking the posts, I found that UPS reported that the box containing the posts was severly damaged and empty. Global did not respond to UPS's message to them and I had to call them. They sent a replacement box of posts and this box was also severely damaged with posts sticking out the ends of the box. One post was scraped and missing its end cap. Now I will have to wait once again for a new post.

RIP OFF!! Lies, short shipment, wrong product shipped, denial, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE.
I purchased $5,115.00 in racking 3 weeks ago. I was told it was all in stock and in the pictures you will see the sent me a shipping document indicating that all the product shipped complete. It did not, almost half the product is missing and as you see in the pictures they shipped a mixture of sizes. My warehouse receiving manger called them the same day to report the issues. The man at Global knew the order was shipped short, but he did not note it on any of the paperwork I received. Plus as you see in the pictures it is a huge mess because the racks cannot be assembled because the sizes are mis matched. The customer service person now wants pictures of the shortage, how do I picture a shortage. Their shipping person knows about the shortage. Terrible company to buy from and they have no idea how to get it right STAY AWAY!! I ordered for convenience they have turned this into a nightmare.

Just ordered from this company for the 1st AND LAST time. Ordered online after calling customer service. Was told my shipment, which was one bundle of corrugated bin boxes, would ship from closest location. Here is what has gone wrong so far, and I do not even have the shipment yet.
(1) Was told my order would ship from nearest location. From their Atlanta area location to me in the DFW area, UPS ground is 3 days. They shipped my order out of their Las Vegas area location, which is 4 days to me.
(2) They sent me an email with a UPS tracking number saying my order had shipped, which most reasonable people would take to mean it is in the hands of UPS. It was close to 24 hours after that before the UPS tracking system indicated the order had even been picked up.
(3) They appear to be padding the freight charges. I took weight and zip codes of origin and destination, and even as a small individual shipper, the rate was sognificantly lower than what they are charging., and its not like a bundle of boxes that are flat are going to get any outer packaging other than stretch wrap and labeling.

My only advice to anyone considering purchasing from Global Industrial is RUN !!! Run like the wind !!! You will know the next time I order from them because the weather person on your local news will be saying "and in other weather news, today hell did finally freeze over...".

I placed two orders with this company. Both times something went wrong. 1st order was for a set of reel jacks. They mailed one 2nd day and it still hasn't shown on the third day. 2nd order was to fix the first by sending a second reel jack over night. Its the 3rd day and still hasn't shown. Do not order from this company! They say 2-8 day delivery, so we timed our order to give them that time frame. Delivery date was pushed back an extra day - contacted customer service - they said “oops” it didn’t make the truck so now your order will arrive 4 days later. We explained we would not be at that location to accept the order (by the way it was an over $500 order, paid extra for residential delivery). Customer service said, well it will sit in a wharehouse and you’ll have to pay storage fees! ???? Really?!!! And go pick it up! Really?!!

On line ordering was very poor. The system wouldn't recognize my ID even though I have ordered many times in the past 4 years. I finally had to call for help. The rep was VERY helpful and re entered my ID and then processed the order. Delivery was as advertised. Driver VERY helpful. The shopping itself was not a problem as I knew what I wanted and found it right away. Checking out online was the issue. I kept getting messages that my payment information was not correct. Indeed there was a piece that was incorrect. When I tried to change it, the message was that I should delete it and re enter the information. There was no option to delete. Very frustrated I resorted to the online chat where I was able place my order. The chat person, Robinson, was very kind and helpful but could not tell me why I had such trouble. He admitted that people often resort to live chat if they have a problem ordering. This was not the first order I had placed, I have had an account with Global for several years. I very frequently have a problem ordering online. The shipping times have been as promised and the quality of the products have been excellent.

The customer service of this company is absolutely garbage. I ordered a bench scale and one of the part was defective so the scale wouldn't assemble. First they didn't respond for a solid 10 days and then they said that i wasn't assembling it properly. I attached pictures and its pretty clear that the cord wouldn't pass the pole because of a plastic bar passing. I think they just want to take money with claims of customer service or warranty but once money is taken, They don't care. I liked their other products and was interested but after this first experience.
NEVER BUYING AGAIN FROM THEM!

An order I placed with them had 2 items, one of the items was for 2 cases, the other one was 3 cases, but they mistakenly shipped me only 2 cases of each, short 1 case. I called them several times but the idiots who answered the phone repeatedly said it showed in their system that the boxes were delivered and left on my front porch by UPS. True, they were delivered indeed, I never disputed the fact that they were delivered, I just said the content inside the big cardboard boxes was 1 case short. The low IQ persons who answered my phone claimed: "there is nothing I can do about it"

Dealing with this company has been an absolute nightmare! I ordered a walker/wheelchair type of product to replace my old one, with the understanding that I could return it if it didn't work for me (based on what turned out to be a misleading return policy, which I did read ahead of time). I received my order quickly and immediately opened it and tried it out, thinking I had 30 days to decide whether to keep or return it. Within a week I realized it did not work for me - whenever we hit a bump, I was nearly dumped out of the wheelchair. I am 81 years old! Not good to fall out on the sidewalk!
I sent an email to Global requesting return information. Their only response was "Is the item used? And is it in the original packaging?" I responded that I had tried it out and detailed the problem I had with it. But I was told that it was not returnable because I had used it. HOW WAS I TO DETERMINE WHETHER IT WORKED OR NOT IF I DIDN'T USE IT?
After numerous attempts to speak with the contact person I had been assigned at Global, and having been told several times by customer service personnel that my rep was trying to get the manufacturer to accept the return, I decided to call the manufacturer. Imagine my surprise when the manufacturer readily agreed to take the item back! Their rep even got the Global rep on the phone and mediated a return at my expense. The item had cost me $169, including tax. It cost me $64 to return it!
It has now been six weeks since the item was received by the manufacturer and I am still waiting for my refund. Spoke to Global today and their "working on it".
In my 81 years, I have never experienced worse customer service! DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

Did not deliver the items on time, nearly waited 2 additional months to receive full orders. Paid $4556 for assembly and yet they sent one person to do the job. Even the assembler damaged the main conference table and half of our furniture are not assembled. we received the shipment today. the delivery guy would not deliver into our office and trying to abandon it at front of the building. I called customer service and they said we had to specify the delivery point. And there is another shipping charge only for that, it would be $100!!.
Last year, I purchased same item and had no issue. It seems that they are just simply answering whatever they want to avoid the situation without helping the customer. Another thing, it was really a late delivery. One of my order is still on back order.. I am afraid that it will happen again with that late delivery. Also, the delivery guy did not take it back the pallet he brought , so we had to take care of that.
I never had this kind of delivery service with any other sellers.

We did not receive the item ordered and the tracking number they provided was invalid. After waiting two weeks we have been unable to find out from the shipping department what the problem is. The chat agents would answer and when they found out we were trying to track an order, one agent disconnected and the second said she could not help us. We were told to call or email customer service. Contacting customer service was not easy either. Several times I called and after the answering service picked up I selected the option for inquiring on an existing order. After that it was dead air space. Customer service just says they will send an email inquiry and will let us know when they get a reply. I wouldn't recommend ordering from this company.
