Overall Rating

I had an interview for next Tuesday on 4/5, I asked could I interview earlier which I did today instead because i was excited. I had to complete 2 assignments and I did that there and then I went to the office to talk to the lady and she said my score was kind of low on 3 things so they can’t hire me but she’ll talk to her boss to see if I can still get hired then I got an email saying they selected other candidates. I am beyond upset because I took off from my other job to interview early, I interviewed late as well when I got there early, on top of that I wasted gas to go down there when I live almost 30 minutes away and I had to wait in the cold afterwards. Maybe it was a reason I didn’t get hired! Just because I am young doesn’t mean that I can’t learn because I’m a very hard worker! I have warehouse experience with assembly but I guess that’s not good enough. Companies need people bad and don’t give people chances and wonder why they can’t keep people or stay staffed. Test scores shouldn’t define someone. They can hire someone who passed the test quits vs someone who they don’t select over a little test and they actually be a very hard worker! What a waste of time!

So far my experience with Ky Trailer has all been positive. Everyone is friendly and courteous they have gone thru a massive manpower change since covid-19. They do expect you to work be flexible and stay busy they arent into babysitting adults. Quality is expected using your brain is expected ask questions be open to advice willing to learn and have an open mind no one likes a know it all.Its all in your attitude you make it what it is. Still a great place to work many 20+ year guys here definitely the right environment to learn alot of applicable trade skills. After a year Ky Trailer still moving forward. Starting pay for welders is now $21.95 in the door and can go higher depending on skill sets up to $35.60. plenty of opportunity to move up pay scale if your motivated.Assembly makes very competitive wages $18-$24+ per hr.

I know someone who worked there that was concerned about exposure to covid and was instructed to take a covid test only to be fired while they were on a 2 day quarantine awaiting results.Good thing he records every conversation he has if it's behind closed doors! These people really handled him poorly sad part is he loved that job

Just a total lack of attention to detail! Imagine working hard your whole life and finally custom ordering your first brand new trailer only to realize you now own a $100,000 headache! From the moment I picked this trailer up, which mind you was supposed to be one of the most exciting days of my career, I have regretted this purchase. I’m not going to go into the long list of things that need fixed, but from paint overspray on the expensive wheels I upgraded to, to Axle and tire inflation system issues that have had me down for 2 days on my first trip with this unit. I’m not a customer that likes to complain, but when you spend this much of your hard earned money, you expect a certain level of quality. The shop couldn’t even blow out the trailer before laying the floor epoxy so there’s chunks of metal construction debris stuck in the floor, which will eventually chip a piece of furniture or tear the floor up when it gets ripped out. Something going on with axles. They are getting so hot that we have burned out 2 thermAlert plugs in 1,500 miles. Pull into a shop in Mississippi yesterday that said they could get me fixed up and they said my hubs where so hot they need me to sit over night and get to me in the morning. Unfortunately, I don’t have time to waste but will be having them pull every axle apart this morning to check bearings and properly torque nuts. We are a 1 truck, independent operation and dont have back up equipment for things like this which is why we opted to purchase brand new! I guess you don’t have to care about a quality product when you have no competition in your product field! Forgetting all the complaints we have, if you step back 50ft and don’t care about all the issues it sure is a beautiful trailer.

If your looking for a company who treats there workers with respect, I’d avise you to look elsewhere. It’s extremely disappointing to know this company only cares about thereself.

The automated service sucks when you call them! Takes too long to get a real person on the phone.

They add to application what you do and do not have to give as far as information goes, but when you dont put info they don't ask for they won't hire you for holding information.
